Stream Invisible Nation on Gathr
With special panel discussion featuring director Vanessa Hope, Ghost Island Media Co-Founder Emily Y. Wu, and yours truly 💖
I was invited to be part of a panel discussion for the documentary film Invisible Nation. For anyone who's interested in Taiwan's current geopolitical situation and how we went from martial law to a thriving democracy, it's the perfect film, with exceptional access to two of our former presidents from opposite sides of our political spectrum. Hope and her team really did a wonderful job presenting our complicated history with compelling visuals and historic footage (The director was living in Taiwan during our first democratic presidential election in 1996!) I’ve seen the film 3 times myself. You can read this review from Variety if you need more convincing.
It's available for rent from 12/6-12/9 on Gathr for $9, with an introduction from Oscar-nominated director S. Leo Chiang, followed by a post-stream panel discussion with director Vanessa Hope, Ghost Island Media Co-Founder Emily Y. Wu, and myself, moderated by Matthew Carey from Deadline Hollywood.
